5 Nighttime Skincare To-Do’s

1.) Always cleanse your face at night
Throughout the day our skin is exposed to numerous toxins and pollution (yuck!) not to mention the build up of oil and and makeup that can clog our pores. It’s important to wash all that off in order to keep our skin clean. If you’re exhausted at the end of the day and climbing into bed beats washing your face every time, try washing it right when you get home to avoid waiting until you are less likely to do it.

2.) Apply your powerhouse products at night
My motto is protect and correct! Protect your skin throughout the day and correct at night. Our skin repairs itself while we sleep, so to see the best results from your products sleeping in them will help treat your biggest skincare concern. For example, if your main concern is aging, use your most anti-aging products (retinol, glycol, or peptides) at night. If you need to work on hydrating your skin using a night cream with hyaluronic or squalane will be your best bet. For acne-prone skin using products with salicylic will be beneficial.

3.) Get Enough Zzz’s
Sleep can help reduce stress which can reflect on our skin’s appearance. Stress can induce acne flare-ups and darken under eye circles. Getting enough sleep every night can help assure that you look and feel your best. Your skin will thank you!

4.) Clean your Pillowcases Regularly
I don’t think I need to go into detail with this one- Just a friendly reminder!

5.) Use an eye cream every night
Eye creams are imperative for reducing fine lines, puffiness, dark circles, and dehydration. I like to use a hydrating eye cream during the day (which also helps my concealer look better without creasing) and an anti-aging eye cream at night. Look for an eye cream with ingredients that target whatever your main concern is. Cucumber is a natural anti-inflammatory ingredient that can help with puffiness. Vitamin C and peptides are also great eye cream ingredients.

“Zoodles” your new favorite low carb dish!

Zoodles are indeed just zucchinis formed in the shape of noodles and are even easier to make than actual pasta noodles. Zucchinis contain antioxidants, vitamins A, C, E, and have anti-inflammatory properties while only containing about 33 calories! They are also very low in carbs and sugars making it the perfect food for a healthy meal. All you need is a Spiralizer which can be found on Amazon, Target, Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond or any cooking store.

5 zucchinis (feeds 2)
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp oregenno 
Salt & pepper to taste (I recommend Pink Himalayan or Sea Salt)
-Spiralize zucchini into noodles
-Mix olive oil, spices, and salt/pepper with zoodles
-Heat a large saucepan with olive oil on HIGH
-Add zoodles and sauté for 3 minutes or until zoodles are softer (be careful not to overlook or they become soggy)


I like to pair zoodles with a protein. I’ve used chicken, ground turkey, shrimp, tofu, and chicken sausage. This dynamic food can also be made with red or white pasta sauce, Parmesan cheese, cherry tomatoes and butter, or with low sodium soy sauce for an Asian inspired dish. The possibilities are endless!
